Community of Jesus Crucified
The Community of Jesus Crucified is a Catholic Private Association of the Christian Faithful of diocesan right. In 1986, it was canonically erected in the Diocese of Lafayette, Louisiana. The mission of the community is to minister to those who are in most need and suffering with priority given to those who are unserved or underserved. Members have been involved with the sick and the dying, with those in nursing homes, the mentally distressed, the poor, and those marginalized in our society. Community members are also committed to disseminating knowledge of the spiritual life to the laity and do so by conducting retreats, offering classes and workshops on the spiritual life, promoting and participating in Eucharistic adoration, and in offering spiritual direction.
